Here’s what’s happening!
Well…..lots have been happening..
We have moved our weekly meeting to Midway Community Centre, Rowen Avenue, Midway DE11 0FF
The Wednesday session at Winshill Resources Centre are still going on once a month 1st and is our support group sessions, this is where we address the needs of members and parents, carers and it is open to everyone who needs to learn new skills and get support for themselves and the family. Please contact Kim for more details -on 07850 666125
We now have our own minibus, so we can transport for outings and trips out, however if any member is in need of getting to an appointment contact us to see if we can help, we will have make a small charge for this to cover the fuel.
It is also available to hire out for other groups and charities, it comes with the driver, anyone who might be interested can contact Kim on 07850 666125.
Members, and volunteers are saving in our charity boxes penny for petrol boxes, so if you have not got one of our boxes, please ask for one. Up to yet we have made £36.25
Trustees and volunteers
We have an excellent and dedicated group of trustees and volunteers who give up their time on ShoutOut nights, on outings and in the week when members contact.
We have increased our volunteer group, however, we do however, need more volunteers, so if you know anyone who is looking for a fun volunteering activity please get us to contact Kim-07850 666125.
Time flies and it’s time for another Annual General Meeting, this year we are holding it at Winshill Resource Centre on Wednesday 5th of October. We will be looking back over the last twelve months and celebrating our successes if you want to speak at it let James the members advocate and representative know.
Just to end …We are looking to sort out some outings and trips, for the Autumn and into winter, we are planning a bowling trip on a Monday night date not yet confirmed, and a trip to Nottingham Royal Theatre to go to see the Pantomime Snow White on 11th December. In early January 2023 we will enjoy a lunch at Wing Wah on a Saturday.
